Can I contact the host before I make a booking request?

Even though we don't publish the personal contact details of the hosts and we can't share them with you before you have a valid lease agreement for their property, you can contact any host directly via the platform at any time.
Before you make a booking request
If you wish to contact a host before you make an official booking request for their property, you can do so through the listing details. Simply open the listing details, scroll down to the "About host" part, and click the "Send question" button.
(Note: Having a guest profile is necessary for sending messages to hosts. If you haven't created a profile up to this point, you'll be asked to do so now.)
You can use this option to ask for any additional information that you couldn't find in the written descriptions or photos.
After you make a booking request
Once you create a booking request, you will be able to contact the host of the given property directly through your My Housing account. Just go to the Messages section, click the "New message" button, and you'll be able to select the host you'd like to text!
As soon as you have a valid lease agreement, we'll also share the host's direct personal contact information with you for easier communication.
