Prague in June is one of the liveliest it ever gets. With people from all over the world wanting to see the winding streets, beautiful parks, gorgeous architecture and more, the city puts on a good show. So here are the best things to do in Prague in June 2022.

June exhibitions in Prague

There are tons of unique and exciting exhibitions. On June 10th, The World of Banksy opens in the Church of Archangel Michael. You can expect originals and reproductions in the Baroque church, a combination that has never been done with Banksy’s work before.

The Prague Market will see the opening of the Worlds of Czech Animation exhibition on June 3rd. Animators past and present will include Zeman, Týrlová, Trnka, Švankmajer, Klimt, Balej, and more.

Prague markets in June

For food and flea markets, look no further than the Náplavka Market every Saturday from 8:00 to 14:00, Farmer’s Market at Tylák every Monday from 8:00 to 18:00, and the Flea Market at Heřmánek every Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00.

And if you love books, you absolutely need to see the Book World Prague fair between June 9th and 12th. You can expect the Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Svetlana Alexievich, Russia’s intellectual opposition, Lyudmila Ulitskaya, and the human rights activist from Hong Kong, Nathan Law.

Sports events in Prague in June

If you love sports, why not join the Velká Holešovická night run? On June 2nd at 22:00, the event asks you to create a team of four people to run the 3km trail while festivities like music and drinks are provided for the spectators.

Another great sporting event is the UNIQA Prague Mayor's Eights, a traditional rowing race taking place on June 4th. Lastly, if you love street sports, then the Mystic Sk8 Cup will bring you some of the world’s best skateboarders to watch.

June performances in Prague

June sees the best musicians in the world playing in Prague. On June 5th there’s Eric Clapton in the O2 Arena, on June 18th there’s Guns n’ Roses at Letňany Airport, on June 20th there’s Iron Maiden in the Eden Arena, and on June 22nd is Celine Dion and on June 25th there’s Alicia Keys both playing in the O2 Arena. And there’s more still like alt-J, Imagine Dragons or Mother Mother. And there are smaller festivals like Faking Hard Music Fest 2022, Habrovka 2022 and more. With all these great performers, you certainly won’t be bored.

We want to recommend some English friendly theatre and dance performances. First is the V + W: The Letters played at Na Zábradlí on June 14th. The performance details the correspondence between two friends and comedians from the Czechoslovak First Republic era as they navigate isolation: Voskovec as an expat in America’s Hollywood and Werich as a closely watched artist under Czechoslovak Communism.

The National Theatre will perform the Onegin ballet performance on June 1st. The Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia will have the acrobatics performance of Collapse by the Losers Cirque Company on June 5th. And last but not least, Leonce & Lena ballet performance will take place in the Estates Theatre eight times, the first being on June 7th. Don’t miss out on these great shows and more.
