Europe has various cultures, geographical locations, climates, and cities to enjoy, all conveniently located close together. But what exactly is there to experience in Europe? And how does it all connect with digital nomads? We wrote this short article to show you just that.
Diversity and choices
One of the best things about Europe is that its nations are very different. You might be looking for a large metropolis with people from all over the world doing business and making friends in one place – so Europe has Paris, Berlin, London and more. But perhaps you’re looking for an affordable country where you can get a high-quality university education for cheap – countries like the Czech Republic and Portugal are perfect for that.
You might be looking for a completely different experience of living, perhaps in the cold northern states of Norway, Finland, or Sweden.
But maybe you need some warmth for a change, so places like Italy, Madeira Island, or Greece will be more up your alley. And imagine the variety of sports each country lets you do. In short, Europe has a diverse geography which leaves it up to you to decide what kind of experience of Europe you want to have.
Economy and growth
There are only very few countries in Europe whose economies aren’t growing every day, be it the western states of the United Kingdom, France or Germany or the more central and eastern countries of the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland. Business is blowing up, and new job vacancies are created every day.
But it’s not just the capitals of European countries that bustle with commerce; smaller towns see plenty of new openings and contract work in all fields, be it software development, language teaching, or more stable office jobs in PR or communications. And all of this is just the more established work. Start-ups are trendy in almost all the countries in Europe, making them a great fit for young entrepreneurs and excited workers who want to help make something new.
Europe is visitor-friendly
Unlike some countries with very stringent rules on who gets to visit them and who doesn’t, Europe is open to people. This is especially true of the countries within the European Union and the Schengen Area, which have decided to keep open borders. This is great because citizens of the EU get to travel and work in other countries making the whole continent much more interconnected. And it also lets digital nomads travel across Europe without too many difficulties. And while all of this is easier to do when you are a European citizen, even if you’re not, you’ll reap the benefits of Europe’s open borders.
