The lockdown starting Friday will last at least a month.

Under the terms of the lockdown, staying at home will be mandatory, including for work, and fines for not complying with rules such as wearing masks in the street will double, according to the prime minister's statement.

Here is the summary table already made available by the Government on what closes and remains open from Friday the 15th.

• Home care - Duty to stay at home except authorised travel, limit contacts to the household, reduce travel to the essential. Wear masks and maintain social distance.
• Work - Mandatory to work from home Nurseries, Schools and Universities - Open
• Public Services - By appointment only
• Dentists and Pharmacies - Open
• Religious Ceremonies - Permitted according to the rules of the DGS.
• Retail markets and Shops - Closed, except authorised establishments.
• Grocery Stores and Supermarkets - Open, limited to 5 people per 100m2.
• Restaurants Bars and Cafes - Take-away or home delivery only.
• Cultural establishments - closed Sports - Gyms, pavilions and other sports venues closed. Individual exercise outdoors allowed.
• Courts - Open
• Hairdressers & Barber Shops - Closed
• Travel in Portuguese territory / border restriction - transport continues to work but you must have a valid reason to travel.
• National travel restrictions enacted under the current state of emergency will be lifted for one day on January 17, when early voting will be allowed, and on election day. 

• International travel - Before traveling, the visitor must obtain and confirm information about the procedures and restrictions in the countries of origin and destination, from the airline and foreign and border services.
• Flights between Portugal and other destinations will only be allowed for essential trips. In this case, the passenger must present a negative test to COVID-19 (RT-PCR), carried out up to 72 hours before departure time.
• Flights to and from the European Union and the Schengen Area - The resumption of air routes with the countries of the European Union, as well as in the Schengen Area, is dependent on border restrictions and the evolution of the epidemiological situation worldwide. Thus, before making a trip, it is important to consult the alerts and restrictions made available by foreign and border services, both in the country where the trip started and in Portugal (www.sef.pt), as well as checking the necessary procedures and procedures and documents with the airline.
