You’re in the Czech Republic, so it goes almost without saying that one of the easiest places to meet someone new are the local bars and pubs. If you pick a famous, busy pub like U zlatého tygra, for example, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll have to share a table with someone you can strike up a conversation with! Or, if you’d prefer something more low-key, head to Duende – the tables in this café/bar are quite close to one another, so saying hello to the people around you will come naturally.
Not really into alcohol? No worries, there are options for you too. For example, why not try tapping into your creative side at Muddum? This community art space offers various workshops in several different languages and is open to all skill levels, so whether you have previous experience with making art or not, this is a great way to meet new people!

Think about what hobby is dearest to your heart, and then have a look whether there is a club for it in Prague. It’s a big city, so you’re bound to find something!

We already mentioned the Expats in Prague group, but there are many more! For example, if you and your new acquaintance are both women, or you just want to make more friends who are women, there is the International Women’s Association of Prague, which offers its members a wide variety of activities, from cultural events to charity work. But that’s just one option – a quick google search will probably reveal many other social groups you can join!

It tells you which hobby or social groups exist in a given city, and gives you info about their upcoming meetups so that you can join in on the fun right away.
