How Can Digital Nomad Families Find Private Teachers for Their Children

Ensuring that your children have the best possible education even as they enjoy the perks of the digital nomad lifestyle is one of the most important things you can do. There are tons of options whether you want to homeschool your child or you want to use international institutions in your chosen destination. But tons of parents use private teachers to educate their children and here’s how to find them.

Cicero

One of the sites that specialize in remote education is Cicero. This site offers private educators that teach either in a one-on-one setting or in small groups of three to four children. The advantage is that your child will have a much more personalized education experience.

Another advantage of Cicero is its focus on fine-tuning the education of your child to suit their needs. They take into consideration not just the interests and strengths of the children but also the context of the family and the teacher, creating a more complex education than just delivering mechanical information.

This directly influences how Cicero plans out your child’s upcoming school year. Most schools have curricula that have been in use for decades, but Cicero makes sure to have tailor-made courses for each year of your child’s education.

Preply

This site focuses on tutoring children primarily in languages. This can be especially helpful if your children travel from country to country and need to be able to speak the lingua franca of the region.

Additionally, Preply offers courses in academic fields, though these are focused more on adult students. You can study anything from psychology, computer sciences, and social studies to chemistry all in a remote setting. This can be really useful for kids who are older or those who are struggling in their remote university education.

Learn Easy 24

This site has a ton of private tutors who speak all kinds of languages and teach all manner of subjects. It is an especially good resource for languages, but there are teachers who focus on mathematics, biology, physics, and much more. The site is good for any academic level, be it primary or secondary school or even university.

What needs to be said, though, is that there are no complete courses for all the subjects your child needs. You can only get individual tutors and their courses. This is also reflected in the pricing of the tutors which is on the steeper side.

Connections Academy and K12

While these two sites are not strictly only about private teachers, they should be mentioned in any article that discusses remote education. Connections Academy is a public school that is tuition free for US citizens. It provides the classic school experience but it is fully remote. It can be a great alternative to personalized tutors if you feel unsure about their credentials.

K12 also provides a remote public school experience but includes individual courses, preparation for employment, an online private school, and more. Either of these options will be a solid choice of education for your child together with or as a momentary substitution for a good tutor.
